Androgyny is nothing new to pop-metal but vocalist Bill Kaulitz's high cheekbones and flamboyant dress sense ensure a great deal of squinting is required to determine his gender. The music is disappointingly prosaic angst-fuelled emo though, with little of the flash their image promises.

Plus familier des publics internationaux, Tokio Hotel a conquit une base de fans qui s'étend du Japon au Mexique. L’androgynie n'est pas nouvelle dans le pop-métal, mais les pommettes hautes, et le sens du style flamboyant du chanteur Bill Kaulitz garantit qu'il faut de nombreux coups d'oeils pour déterminer son genre. Cependant, leur musique est emo, pleine d'angoisse et très décevante de banalité, avec très peu de l'éclat que leur image promet.
